The Mother-ease Wizard Uno Cotton is an ultra slim ultra reliable reusable nappy.  It is an all in one and has the waterproof cover and absorbent core attached so no stuffing or inserts to fold. The Wizard Uno is the most convenient choice in the Motherease range as it requires no preparation before use, it’s as close as you can get to a disposable nappy while being a washable one!

The pad itself is sewn onto the PUL outer wrap so works just like a disposable nappy.   The PUL waterproof outer has leak resistant bindings at the legs and waist which stops moisture from wicking outwards.  The waist is adjustable through a series of poppers and each nappy has an elasticated waist and back.   The waterproof cover is made of the same world class quality fabric just like the Motherease separate wraps.

Wizard Uno’s have something called ‘hygienic washability’ which basically means wash water flows through easier and water extraction through spinning is more effective.  It therefore drys as quickly.  Mother-ease’s natural cotton nappies contain a small percentage of polyester in the core of the fabric and this polyester never touches your babies delicate skin. Mother ease’s fabrics are custom knit specifically for them and include a poly core for shrinkage control + durability – as a natural fabric that has to endure this many washes would wear out too quickly using only 100% cotton.

Wizard Uno Onesize is also available in StayDry material and Organic Cotton and in a Newborn size  which fits 6 – 12lbs / 2.7 – 5.5kg

In my opinion –  Mother-ease nappies are world class in fit and quality of design and material used.  If you are looking for an easy to use reliable all in one nappy then you won’t go wrong with the Uno Wizard.  These are excellent day time nappies and some parents find the Wizard Uno is suitable for night time use too, particularly if you stuff an additional bamboo booster between the cover and absorbent core.  If you have a heavy wetter though I would still suggest a two part bamboo nappy with a separate outer wrap, like the bamboozle stretch, Little Lamb Bamboo or Mother-ease Sandys, with Mother-ease Airflow wrap.  

My tips –  If using bamboo boosters to increase absorbency there is no need to remove them for washing as they eject out by themselves in the wash, so just chuck the whole dirty nappy into your pail. 

Washing and Care – The binding on the Motherease products are the reason they are so fabulously waterproof so it’s important to treat the binding with respect and make sure it can’t get caught on velcro etc in the wash.  Damage to the binding caused by catching on velcro is not covered by the Motherease Manufacturers Warranty.  So if you  have velcro fastenings on other nappies make sure you put the Motherease nappies into a separate mesh bag to keep them away from the velcro nappies in the washing machine.  Please read carefully our full ‘washing and care instructions’.  All nappies and wraps must be washed according to our care instructions otherwise the manufacturers guarantee will not be valid.  All new nappies must be washed before they are used.  Please note that when buying a large number of cloth nappies you should just wash a few in the first instance, and check you are happy with your choice, as I cannot refund on used or washed nappies. This nappy can be tumble dried on a low heat, however it is advisable to only tumble dry occasionally as it does shorten the life of the nappy and of course cost you more.
