This nappy is designed to be used just like a disposable nappy, and just like the popular Bumgenius Freetime,  it has no separate pieces so no stuffing or unstuffing pockets or poppering other bits into or onto the nappy.   Thirsties offers absorbency, waterproof protection, and adjustability all rolled up into a stylish, comfortable and extremely effective cloth nappy and at a great price!

A built-in, three-layer microfiber terry soaker absorbs an amazing seven times its weight in liquid. The soaker is topped with stay-dry microfleece which keeps your baby feeling dry. An additional layer of terry lies between the microfleece and PUL  body providing a last line of defense. The soaker is sewn in on one side (at the top of the nappy), which makes adding extra absorbent layers a cinch and tremendously decreases drying time

We have the popper version  of the Thirsties One Size All in One,  it is available in velcro and while some families prefer velcro closures because of simplicity, snap closures do have advantages – they are practically indestructible, are more unyielding than velcro closures, making them more challenging to unfasten for a toddler who prefers to go naked and they do not catch on everything in the wash.

In my opinion –  This is becoming a popular alternative to the hard to get Bumgenius Freetime.  It looks very similar and works in exactly the same way.  It fits well from 10lbs / 4.5kg upwards and just like the Freetime it is made to a high standard and works extremely well.  It is also just over £3 cheaper per nappy than the Freetime !   If you are confused about all the different styles and brands of nappies have a look at my ‘mini cloth nappy demo’ on you tube

My tips – Use a bamboo booster under the fleece/microfibre pad to increase the absorbency.  

Washing and Care – Please read carefully our full ‘washing and care instructions’.  All nappies and wraps must be washed according to our care instructions otherwise the manufacturers guarantee will not be valid.  All new nappies must be washed before they are used.  Please note that when buying a large number of cloth nappies you should just wash a few in the first instance, and check you are happy with your choice, as I cannot refund on used or washed nappies. This nappy can be tumble dried on a low heat, however it is advisable to only tumble dry occasionally as it does shorten the life of the nappy and of course cost you more.   

THIRSTIES WASHING GUIDELINES

– Before use: Wash 1-3 times using a cloth diaper safe detergent. At every wash cycle:

-Prewash on warm

-Wash on hot (up to 60 degrees no hotter)

-Add another rinse on warm.

-Hang dry or dry in the dryer on low. Turning the diapers inside out may speed dry times. If the diapers are stiff after line drying, you can throw them in the dryer on low heat with some wool dryer balls to soften them.

Important notes:

– Use enough water to soak and cover the diapering items and allow them to agitate.

– Please avoid the following:

Laundry boosters/additives

High heat in the dryer

Pure Soap

Bleach

These practices and/or additives can void the warranty on your Thirsties products.

*A 15 minute cycle on hot in the dryer once a month is beneficial to lamination, and will not void your warranty.
