Buying a kit can be a good idea if you know you would like to use washable nappies but are finding the decision on which nappies to buy a bit overwhelming.  Our kits come with a variety of nappies.  Using a variety of nappys’ may mean it takes you a bit longer to get into the swing of using the nappies but we feel the benefits of owning a variety of nappys’ makes it all worth while.  There is no one perfect nappy but if you have a variety of nappies at your disposal then you have the perfect nappy kit.   if you buy just one style of nappy there will be at least one shortfall in its overall performance.  With a mixture of nappies, some slim fitting, some very absorbent, some easy and quick to put on, some that dry within a couple of hours, and you have a kit which covers every angle.

It is generally agreed that you need about 20 – 24 nappies to be able to wash every 2 – 3 days. The more nappies you have the longer time between washing.  The first three to six months of your babies life will be the time when you change the most nappies per day.  It can be as much as 12 times in 24 hours in the the first few weeks!   So in the first few months don't be too hard on yourself if you don’t use a washable nappy at every change.
