We are a small family-run business based in St Leonards on Sea (nr Hastings) East Sussex.

We loved using washable nappies on our children but initially we found it difficult to find unbiased information and advice on which ones to buy, so for us it was a process of trial and error.  Few shops sell washable nappies and, if they do, it is usually just one or two brands, and often not the best.  That leaves the internet, where there was an overwhelming choice, but no advice or aftercare and, above all, no opportunity to see, touch and try the nappies.

So we decided to start The Washable Nappy Company to fill what we felt was a gap in the market.  By providing free coffee mornings (Nappuccinos) where we explain the benefits of using washable nappies, environmental and financial.  You can come and see and feel all the different types of nappies and get unbiased independent advice tailored to your particular needs and the needs of your baby.  You are welcome to use these sessions as ‘information gathering’ only and are never put under any pressure to buy directly from us. 

Our events have become very popular both for the information we share and as a place to buy some of the best washable nappies around, at some of the best prices you will find anywhere. 

We are a  local business that only sells nappies we have tried ourselves and can recommend with confidence.   We have been running for nearly two years and recently won the Haringey 'Greenest Business Award' for 2008.  We strive to be as green as possible in our business, using recycled paper, recycling all our packaging and conserving energy and fuel.
