We are a small family-run business based in Tottenham, North London.

We used washable nappies on our twins.  Initially we found it difficult to find information and advice on which ones to buy, so it was a process of trial and error.

Few shops sold washable nappies and, if they did, it was usually just one or two brands, and often not the best.  That left the internet, where there was an overwhelming choice, but no advice or aftercare and, above all, no opportunity to see, touch and try the nappies for ourselves.

So we decided to start The Washable Nappy Company to fill what we felt was a gap in the market, by providing free coffee mornings (which we call ‘Nappuccinos’) where we could explain the benefits of washable nappies, environmental and financial, and where people could come and see, and feel, the all the different types of nappies for themselves, and get unbiased independent advice tailored to their particular needs and the needs of their baby.  Parents are welcome to use these sessions as ‘information gathering’ only and are never put under any pressure to buy directly from us.
